The Meredith Willson
Residence Hall

The Juilliard residence hall experience offers students a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that fosters development of practical life skills and independence. Residents are from all over the world and study in our dance, drama, and music divisions, creating a multifaceted community of artists where students enjoy building friendships, generating new ideas, and collaborating outside of the classroom.

The Meredith Willson Residence Hall, located just steps from the school building, provides a unique opportunity to live in the heart of Manhattan and enjoy stunning views of Lincoln Center and the Upper West Side.

The Residence Life staff works to nurture the growth and development of all residents and coordinates fun and enriching programs throughout the year.

Bedrooms are organized in a suite style, with five bedrooms in each furnished suite (three doubles and two singles), 2.5 bathrooms, and a common living room with the natural light of panoramic city views. The double rooms are equipped with two bunk beds, two desks with drawers, two chests of drawers, and a small closet for each resident. The single room includes one bunk bed, one desk with drawers, one chest of drawers, and a small closet.

The main lounge area is a great space to gather, relax, watch a movie, or cook a meal, and also features beautiful views of the city. It includes a large-screen television with a Netflix subscription, a pool table, ping pong tables, a community kitchen with full-sized stove and refrigerator, and vending machines.

A laundry room is on site, with state-of-the-art washers and dryers that can be conveniently reserved and monitored online.

Our newly renovated fitness center is located on the 22nd floor, equipped with treadmills, elliptical machines, free-weights, and circuit machines.

The newly renovated Health and Counseling Services clinic is also conveniently located on the 22nd floor, providing medical treatment and preventative care, as well as physical therapy, occupational therapy, psychotherapy, and nutrition services to support student wellness.

Snacks and other necessities are available at Market C, the residence hall's 24/7 convenience store, located on the 11th floor.

Residents can practice at their leisure without leaving the building with two soundproof practice rooms on each residence floor, most of which contain well-maintained Steinway grand pianos.

WiFi is provided throughout the building. Students may arrange for individual landline phone service.

The residence hall offers the option of several specialized living floors to facilitate connections with peers, mentors, and campus resources: mixed gender, wellness, all male, all female, substance-free, 21+, and quiet floors.
